It did not come with a plug for the wall, Just a USB cord but it also came with 3 batteries, which won't last long if you run it all night like I do . You can set the timer for 30, 60, 90 min or can leave it run all night. With the sound of the waves, it's a continuous loop with about 5 seconds of silence after each wave crash. The unit feels light, cheaply made

Two features limit the applications for this white noise machine. Within those confines, however, it works well. The first limitation is that sound output is disappointingly low, even at max volume. It is not room-filling, and it works best on a nightstand within feet of the sleeper. The second limitation is that it uses disposable batteries only. I have tried hard to rid myself of devices that rely on disposable batteries because of the attendant inconveniences (I never seem to have batteries in stock when I need them). Much better would be an internal battery that you can charge via USB. Pay $5 more for the 6-sound unit, and you get just that, in addition to more sounds. However, the batteries have held up after two weeks of use with this machine, and I hope they will last for a while longer.

In addition to being cordless, the unit is small and lightweight. This feature makes it ideal for travel. It will not take up much room in a suitcase and placing bedside at a hotel is easy enough. The four different sounds are relaxing, with the waves being my favorite. I prefer brown to white noise, and the waves are the closest to the pitch. The timer function is easy to use and helps maintain battery life. My younger son has been using this in his room, and he says that it has helped him fall asleep more quickly.

In our master bedroom, we use an Echo Dot for white noise, which fills the room, and I can choose the sounds I want. However, for travel, this Beurer white noise machine works well. I recommend shelling out a few more dollars for the more capable 6-noise unit.

Great little product - love the choice i made

Amazing. I am the type of person who's mind goes a million miles when laying in bed and usually I distract myself with watching TV - sometimes way past my time and then waking up with a lack of sleep. so i tried something different and let me tell you. it helps me to stop thinking too much and just focusing on the sounds. i don't even notice drifting off to sleep but wake up refreshed and energized the next morning!
