Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Beurer HD61?

The Beurer HD61 is a heated electric blanket made from OEKO-TEX certified, toxin-free fabric. It features 4 temperature settings, heats up in 40 seconds, and includes a 4-hour automatic shut-off and overheat protection for safe daily use.

How quickly does the HD61 heat up?

The Beurer HD61 reaches its operating temperature in approximately 40 seconds, making it one of the fastest-heating electric blankets available for home use.

What does OEKO-TEX certified mean for a heated blanket?

OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification means every component of the HD61 — including fabric, threads, and accessories — has been independently tested and confirmed free from harmful substances. This makes it safe for prolonged skin contact, including for people with sensitive skin.

Is the Beurer HD61 safe to use overnight?

The HD61 includes a 4-hour automatic shut-off and built-in overheat protection. While these features significantly reduce risk, it is generally recommended to use heated blankets as a pre-warmer rather than sleeping with them switched on. Always follow the product manual guidelines for safe use.

How many heat settings does the HD61 have?

The HD61 has 4 adjustable temperature settings, allowing you to select from gentle warmth to higher heat levels depending on your comfort preference and ambient temperature.

Can I wash the Beurer HD61?

Please refer to the product manual for specific washing instructions. Beurer heated blankets are typically designed to be machine washable — check the HD61 care label and manual for confirmed washing guidelines and temperature limits.

Is the HD61 suitable for sensitive skin?

Yes. The HD61's OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified fabric has been tested and confirmed free from harmful substances, making it suitable for sensitive skin and direct skin contact during extended use.

What is the difference between a heated blanket and a heating pad?

A heated blanket like the HD61 is designed to cover the full body or large areas for general warmth and relaxation. A heating pad is typically smaller and used for targeted, localized heat therapy on specific muscle groups such as the back, neck, or shoulders. The HD61 is optimized for whole-body comfort and sleep preparation.

Does the Beurer HD61 save energy compared to room heating?

Yes. Using a heated blanket for personal warmth is significantly more energy-efficient than heating an entire room. The HD61 delivers targeted warmth directly to the user, reducing the need to raise ambient room temperature.
